Every Opera Untapped performance is a glorious love letter to what we believe this art form is all about: expressive singing and deep human connection in a welcoming environment. We make opera accessible without sacrificing the quality of performance.
Whether you join us in a lush sculpture garden or your favorite Irish pub, you can expect high-quality music and plenty of witty banter. There’s no need to be an opera buff to enjoy yourself — we’ll provide all the context you need to laugh or maybe even sing along!
Am I Going to See a Whole Opera?
Our performances don’t feel like a traditional opera. You typically won’t find a big, red curtain and you certainly won’t find any stuffiness or snobbery. We’re all about breaking the fourth wall to connect with the audience. Most of our performances weave together music with a variety of styles, composers, and languages. We keep the vibe casual, so you can enjoy a meal or beverage while you’re serenaded.

Arias Aloft
Our Arias Aloft programs combine two thrilling art forms — aerial circus arts and opera — for an unforgettable audience experience. In partnership with Circus 617, each performance explores a specific theme through vocal and physical acrobatics in some of New England’s most spectacular outdoor spaces and indoor venues.
Opera for All
Our Opera for All programs are part of our commitment to the community. Every performance is free or low-cost, breaking down barriers so that everyone can experience the power of live opera.
Drunk Opera History
Our Drunk Opera History programs focus on a specific composer or musical work, weaving together comedic storytelling, impactful singing, trivia, and audience participation. These performances offer classical music’s juicy backstory and will have you laughing and singing along in your seat.
Educational Series
Our Educational Series ties classical singing to life-long learning about our wider world. Whether we’re exploring a specific time in history or an aspect of nature, our artists seek to illustrate the threads of music in everything.
